The Great Pie Debate Continues....

We have been debating about this as a group of friends for months now. We've gone to Sammy's where they are famous for their pie shakes. We've gone to Village Inn who is famous for their many pies. We've googled, Yahooed, and asked just about everyone.

Is Cheese cake a Pie or a Cake?

Wicked!

Well. In May, James asked me to go on a date with him.... my response? "Not this month." I'm a terrible person. I know. But he wanted to take me swing dancing. And honestly, every friday night was taken! So we couldn't go! Later in the month, he realized that Wicked was coming to town. He wanted to go soooo badly. But it was so expensive that no one would go with him. So I said, if you pay for me, I'll go. And he said. I'll pay half. And I said Done! So we went to Wicked for our date... in June. A whole month after he asked me on a date in the first place. And you know what? It was a ton of fun!

We parked upstairs so we didn't get to go down and get a good picture of the sign.

Our seats were pretty far away. But we had binoculars that we traded off.

After Wicked, we went out for pie at Village Inn. I'm not much of a pie person. But this was delicious! James is awesome. He is a true gentleman.

Road Trip to Idaho

I apologize in advance for how freaking long this post is. But it's just a recap of the whole trip.

This was the weather almost the whole way up to Idaho.

we hooked up a a wii to play super smash brothers. I just love this picture. SUCH funny faces.

Lorin is a very deep sleeper.

after we found this out.... we decided to be mean....

end result. When he finally woke up, everytime he turned around, I just busted up laughing.... I was dying.

This is when we went to find the ice the caves..... we failed. and lorin got stuck.

good thing casey had a truck and a pulley thing.

bad thing he got stuck as well so we had to unstick him before we could unstick lorin.

you know you're in idaho when you see a potato truck driving down the highway.

hotsprings.... they were much different than i though they would be... actually. they were dumb. I'm used to going to legitimate hotsprings that are not built into the ground....

i got super sick on the trip. it sucked. Lorin is pretty much my favorite person ever. He came over and made careena and I pancakes for breakfast. :)

We went to the sand dunes..... and got Jennas car stuck....

and then our car got stuck...

well... actually our car got stuck twice....

then they burried me alive.

Careena's birthday party!

Careena had a birthday back in may. I wanted to throw her a party. I decided to throw a mocktail party. She didn't know what was going on. All she knew was that she needed to dress up fancy. These first few pictures were the aftermath.....

I put some pizza rolls and mozzerella sticks in the oven..... and since we don't have much counterspace on that side of the kitchen, I laid down the sugar lid on the stove.... well... apparently the back right burner is where all the heat from the stove comes out.... i did not know this. so... this was the end result...

haha. this party only lasted like an hour.. so after, we went downstairs and played signs.

Prank Time!

Well, the boys decided to have a guys night and be nerds and play Magic. LAME! This obviously did not sit well with me. I was bored out of my mind. Careena was babysitting so I was all alone! When Careena got done babysitting, we chatted for a while. We then decided that we wanted to kick off her birthday by doing something crazy! And we were angry at the boys, so we decided to saran wrap all of their cars. We left our house at like one in the morning to go to Papio to get their cars. It was rainy and miserable out. It was a little harder to saran wrap a wet car, but it still worked! We weren't mean. We didn't do too much wrapping. Here are the results:

Story time!!!

So, the boys never ever said anything to us. And it was driving us crazy. We were scared they were going to get us back. We were prepared. We paid so much attention to everything they did. We did not want to miss them getting us back.

Fast forward a few weeks.

We're driving to Idaho. We're bored. Kyle wants to look at all my pictures on my phone. Kyle gets to the saran wrapped cars.

Kyle: What? What is this??

Me: umm.... that's from when we saran wrapped your cars a few weeks ago....... it was us..... i was hoping you wouldn't find out...

Kyle: what are you talking about?

Me: what do you mean what am i talking about?

Kyle: ....... ummmm....... our cars were never saran wrapped..... when did you do this?

Me: that night you played magic at ryans.

Kyle: ..... no...... you didn't.....

Me: yes we did! What are you saying kyle?!?!?!

Kyle: you never saran wrapped our cars....

Apparently, they never saw the saran wrap.... We think that someone walking by cleaned it up for them. (yeah, Ryans neighborhood is weird.... people walk their dogs at like three in the morning.... we saw a few people out for walks while we were down there)

The boys did not believe us that we saran wrapped their cars. There was a lot of zooming in the pictures and trying to see details. They thought perhaps we had gotten the wrong cars... But that really isn't possible.. unless three cars that look exactly like theirs happened to be in front of Ryans house that night... and they parked elsewhere. They finally believe that we did it. And now they will not let me live it down that our prank failed. They think I'm bad luck.

Secret? I think they are playing a joke on us and that they all decided to play dumb..... yeah. we still talk about it occassionally. They still say they never saw it...

So, obviously we went to the Pirates premiere. We wanted to dress up. Oh my heck it was amazing. Careena and I are obsessed with dressing up whenever we can. We never get the chance though. It was awesome to wear this costume. Seriously. I loved it. And those boots? Found them at good will for 8 bucks. How could I turn those beauties away? They were perfect for dressing like a pirate! Careena and I want to dress like pirates again soon... We can't figure out what we could do it for... Any suggestions? Halloween is out of the question, we plan to be the mystery gang this year.
